OVERSCREW: A JOURNEY THROUGH WOOD
Of Course He Got the Best Advice
President Bush's clever plan to punish ordinary Iraqis for allowing Saddam Hussein to disrespect him is really working.  The President undoubtedly received sophisticated advice from experts on the region before deciding to invade.  They must have  told him what would happen if he destroyed Saddam's government and disbanded his army while occupying the country with the tiny number of American soldiers necessary to defeat Saddam.  Told him that the country would stop functioning as a country.  That the Iraqi Islamic radicals that Saddam had ruthlessly repressed would rob the abandoned armories.  That these radicals would break the country into three pieces corresponding to the three major religious political groups which Saddam had repressed.  That they would kill Americans and each other with explosives from the armories.  That the average Iraqi would not have the electricity, the water, the safety they had before Bush decided to completely destroy Iraq.  Everyone knew this would work.
